I hadn't either until we moved up here. But man, they're wonderful. It's sort of like a coat for the carseat - so the baby doesn't get overheated being in a ginormous coat in the car. Plus, you need the flap that folds down and covers their faces - frostbite and all that is a very real fear at -30 and below.
